Privacy and Data

Mashup takes data privacy seriously. This section outlines what data we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

What We Collect

• Shopify shop data: Products, themes, files, and discount configurations relevant to the features you use.
• Imported product data: When you import from Amazon, AliExpress, or a custom URL, we extract product information and store it for the duration of your project.
• Generated content: Pages, copy, and AI photos generated through Mashup.
• Usage telemetry: Anonymous aggregate metrics — what features get used, how long generations take. No PII.

What We Do Not Collect

• We do not access customer data — order details, customer profiles, or carts — unless a feature you opt into specifically requires it.
• We do not read or store payment information. All billing flows through Shopify.
• We do not sell any data to third parties.

Third-Party Services

We use Google's Gemini family for AI image generation and Anthropic and OpenAI models for AI text generation. Content sent to these providers is governed by their own privacy policies, which we link to in our full Privacy Policy at mashupai.io/privacy. Importantly: no model providers we use train on customer data.

Data Retention

Your Mashup project data is retained as long as your shop is installed. Uninstalling Mashup retains your data for 90 days in case you reinstall — your pages, drafts, widgets, and SEO entries come back exactly as they were. After 90 days, all data is permanently deleted.

GDPR and CCPA

We comply with GDPR and CCPA. If you are an EU or California resident, you can request a copy of your data or full deletion at privacy@mashupai.io. We respond to such requests within thirty days.
