Build Credits, AI Photo Tokens, and Overage Packs

Mashup's two metered features are AI Page Builder builds and AI Product Photo tokens. Every other feature — Copy Studio, SEO Meta, storefront widgets — is unlimited at every paid tier.

Build Credits

A "build credit" is one full page generation in the AI Page Builder. Specifically: when you finish a build flow and the resulting page becomes a non-draft project (whether you publish it immediately or keep it ready to publish later), one credit is consumed.

Things that do not consume credits:

• Saving a draft and exiting before finishing the flow.
• Re-editing an already-built page, no matter how many times.
• Re-publishing an already-built page to a different theme.
• Duplicating an existing page (the duplicate inherits the original's credit usage).
• Browsing templates, importing product data for preview, or any read-only action.

Things that do consume a credit:

• Completing a build flow and reaching the Design Studio for the first time on a given product. Even if you never publish, that build counts.
• Starting a new flow on a different product, even if you cancel partway. The credit is reserved when the import begins and released only if the import fails before reaching the Design Studio.

If you exhaust your monthly build credits, the Build AI pages button shows a friendly upgrade prompt instead of starting a new flow. Your existing pages keep working, you can keep editing them, and Copy Studio and SEO Meta remain available. Builds reset at the start of your next billing cycle.

AI Product Photo Tokens

Tokens are the metering unit for AI-generated product photography. Each generated image consumes a fixed number of tokens depending on which model you choose:

• Nano Banana — 5 tokens per image. Fast, efficient, great for everyday product shots and quick concept exploration. Available on every paid plan.
• Nano Banana Pro — 6 tokens per image. Google's flagship image generation model, with the highest fidelity and best handling of small details (text on packaging, fabric textures, intricate jewelry). Available on Pro and Ultra plans.
• Nano Banana 2 — 8 tokens per image. Pro-quality output at Flash speeds — a good balance when you need premium results in volume. Available on Pro and Ultra plans.

Token cost is deducted at the moment generation starts, not when the result loads. If a generation fails for a system reason (network error, model unavailable), the tokens are automatically refunded to your balance.

Overage Packs

When you run low on AI Product Photo tokens, you can buy a one-time pack instead of upgrading your subscription. Overage packs are billed through Shopify as one-time charges and added to your token balance for the current cycle.

• 50 tokens — $10
• 100 tokens — $15
• 500 tokens — $50

Overage packs do not roll over. They are designed to absorb a single busy week, not to act as a substitute for a higher-tier subscription. If you find yourself buying packs every cycle, upgrading is almost always cheaper.

You cannot buy overage packs for build credits — for that, please upgrade your plan instead.
