AI Product Photos
1 min read
The AI Product Photos studio lets you generate brand-new product imagery using state-of-the-art image models from Google. Use it when you need a UGC-style lifestyle shot you do not have, a studio shot in a specific colour palette, or a quick set of variations for A/B testing.
Each generation begins with an existing product image as a reference — Mashup needs to know what the product actually looks like — plus a style prompt that tells the model what kind of image you want.
To open the studio, click Generate photos from the Dashboard or from any image inspector in the Design Studio.
The flow is:
- Pick a product. Browse your Shopify catalog or any product you have previously imported into Mashup.
- Pick reference images. Choose one or two of the product's existing images. The model needs at least one reference; two often produces better results because it sees the product from multiple angles.
- Pick a style preset or write a prompt. Style presets are pre-tuned prompts for common scenarios. You can also write your own prompt in natural language.
- Pick aspect ratio and count. Square, portrait, landscape, or any of several specific aspect ratios. Count is how many variations to generate in this run — usually four is the sweet spot between exploration and token efficiency.
- Pick a model. Nano Banana, Nano Banana Pro, or Nano Banana 2, depending on your plan.
- Generate. Tokens are deducted, and a generation job starts. Most jobs complete in twenty to forty seconds.
- Review results in the lightbox. Click any image to see it full-size, see exactly what prompt produced it, and Attach to product to add it to the product's Shopify image library or to a Mashup page slot.
