SEO Meta

SEO Meta is Mashup's tool for generating and managing search engine metadata — page titles, meta descriptions, and keyword sets — for every page in your store.

Generating Meta

From the Dashboard, click Optimize SEO to open the SEO panel. Select any published page from the dropdown (Shopify product pages, collection pages, and Mashup pages are all supported). Click Generate with AI.

Mashup reads your page content, your product details, and the kinds of search queries shoppers in your category use, then produces:

• Page title — Optimised for Google's recommended length (around 60 characters).
• Meta description — Optimised for Google's recommended length (around 155 characters).
• Keywords — A focused set of search terms the page is targeting.

You can edit any field after generation. The Google preview at the bottom of the panel shows exactly how the result will look on a search results page.

Saving and Publishing

Click Save SEO metadata to write the values back to Shopify. Updated metadata is live in your product's HTML within seconds, and Google typically re-crawls within hours to days.

You can re-generate as often as you want — SEO Meta generations are unlimited on every plan.

Best Practices

• Generate meta after the page content is final, not before. The generator reads the page; if the page changes, regenerate.
• Edit the generated keywords list to remove any that are not actually relevant to your audience. The model errs on the side of inclusion.
• Don't keyword-stuff. The generated copy is already optimised; adding keywords past the recommended length actively hurts.
